Annelies Wiggers is a dutch artist who creates paintings, drawings and prints. She uses a wide variety of mediums. Most of the works include a human figure and a high contrast or geometrical shape. Annelies captures moments in her work, she 'freezes' them. Moments that normally escape attention.
When she was in high school Annelies took additional drawing lessons in the local art school in Castricum. These included painting and portrait lessons. Especially drawing from live models and objects was widely covert. She received top marks in the art exam of high school.
She decided on a technical study, medical science and engineering. During her bachelor she enrolled into the Nieuwe Akademie Utrecht, a part time art study. In September she will start the third year of the art school. She wants to learn how to develop herself further as an independent artist.
